Default Anyone with Magnaflow, LTs, and a catted Y?

Yes, I checked all over LS1sounds (I'm on there nonstop) and there's few to no clips of it. I know a couple people on here have that setup and I'm just wondering if you have any soundclips or videos of it. I'm looking to see what kind of tone and volume level it has.

Thanks for any help.

Scott

I can't find anyone with a soundclip of with magnaflow. pacesetter and ory. For such a popular setup I would think there would be something floating around.

I had that setup on my 2000 Z28 that I just sold. I've got a couple clips of it somewhere if you want them. There's a couple good ones on LS1sounds too.

They may not be specifically with Pacesetter's LTs and ORY, but all LTs will sound basically identical. Different ORYs may change the sound a bit, but it will also likely be unnoticable. This is exactly what mine sounded like, except mine was an A4 so it didn't have all that rasp in between the shifts:

Also exactly like mine:

Email me at SROhlms@yahoo.com and I'll get you some of my car specifically.

I could do a sound clip of our car, but it isn't exactly what you asked for...
Cam, LT, ORY, Magnaflow, CME tips...

N/M saw above about cammed car sound clips...

I just love how all of you guys with longtubes, offroad ypipe, and a freeflow catback say that you have absolutely no rasp. Do you really know what rasp is? Because I don't think that there is a combination of exhaust components including the above mentioned setup that won't have rasp. Maybe people have different definitions of rasp, but ory and rasp go hand in hand. Unless you add a borla xr-1 muffler to the I-pipe.

that real loud cackle when you shift or lay off the gas or when you mash the pedal in park and let off, yeah mine does not do that, when I had a hooker catback it sure did though, mine now sounds like stock on roids.

so your opinion on a borla muff is fine, but was not needed on my setup

I'd say to use a digital camera that will let you take a video. Then upload the file just like you would if you were putting pictures on your computer. Go to your mail program (Yahoo, etc) and go to "attach file". Find the file on your computer (should be with the rest of your recent uploaded pictures and such) and then attach it to the email. You can then send it to me at SROhlms@yahoo.com

Thanks for any help or clips you may be able to provide!

My last car had LTs, ORY, and Magnaflow. There WAS indeed rasp, but it wasn't as bad since it was an A4. But it wasn't too overwhelming like Borla or Loudmouth with rasp; it mixed in rather well with Magnaflow's rumble.

I still have a magnaflow on my car and without the xr-1 muffler there was that dreaded rasp between 2200- 2800. So, your car must be a real exception if you have no rasp at all. The xr-1 pretty much killed all of that rasp on my car and it sounds a lot cleaner now. Granted, it was not rasp like that associated with a loudmouth, but it was still rasp nonetheless. Just a note ---my buddies SS with hooker longtubes, hooker offroad ypipe, and magnaflow has really bad rasp --- a lot worse than my qtp's, qtp offroad ypipe, and magnaflow. He could use an xr-1 as well.

Look at my sig, sounds good, no rasp, is cammed though. Had a good tone even before I got it cammed and sounds aggressive when you get on it. But, I just got TSP true duals with sweet thunders, going on soon.

I think its all to do with the y-pipe, if its like mine I cut the excess slag out of the welded area inside the pipe, its nice and smooooth now. rasp be gone
