Re: Car troubles again....HELP! I really don't know much about cars, but prehaps what RPM WS6 said makes sense. The CPS as a culprit. I saw this thread as well:

Specifically:
"Also new on the 2001 models is the reluctor wheel which is attached to the crank to trigger the crankshaft position
sensor which is now redesigned to enhance signal output."
Is it possible a 98 PCM Flash is not compatable with a 2001 with respect to a CPS signal? I guess this would have been identified with others if it was an issue, but like I said I don't know much about cars and just thought I would throw that out there.
