True Dual setup's???? I was wondering if I could get some input on this. Dynatech headers, runing into dual 3 inch pipes (off road) and into some bullet style mufflers and hang the end of the exhaust (turn down tips) off the bottom of the rear axle so there is no cat backs. I do not want to attract every cop in the land but I do not want something very restrictive or quiet. Would this be a good setup??? I know one guy runing SLP long tubes, O/R y-pipe, into a borla and that is a ahhhh TAD to loud for me LOL. Thanks David |
Re: True Dual setup's???? The billits dont damper sound very well. It will be po-po stalk me loud. I know, I had LTs, no cats and the loudmouth (basically same as you want) Now I have a MEAN sounding, not too lud perfect exhaust |
Re: True Dual setup's???? So just run the same set up but swap the billets for loud mouths???? That sounds better now because I was wanting to run a G-Load brace also. I wonder how hard that would be to have true-duals and a g-load since it hangs lower than the stock "brace" . I am new the the whole plumbing scene LOL David [ August 01, 2002, 08:00 PM: Message edited by: 1 BAD Z/28 ] |
Re: True Dual setup's???? if your going to run duals, then put an x-pipe in it. it will quiet it down a little bit more. [ August 01, 2002, 11:05 PM: Message edited by: ROB'S SS ] |
Re: True Dual setup's???? My exhaust setup....MAC headers, no cats, dual cutouts, Dr Gas true dual x-pipe system, Dynomax bullets, and turn downs before the axle. Its very smooth. No rasp to it. Sounds great at idle and is relatively mellow. But when you put the gas pedal to the floor, its screams. I love it |

I have heard the car in person, hands down best sounding LS1 yet. The owner has the exhuast for sale right now too: true duals |

Your screen name sounds familiar and I was in the COFBA last year (86Camarodriver) Thanks again guys David |

Re: True Dual setup's???? 1 bad z/28- you will probably want to put in a crossover of some type (Xpipe or H pipe). the set up you are talking about will just sound almost as loud as straight headers, depending on the type of bullet you choose. best bet is to do headers-x pipe-bullets-turndowns |
