pacesetters LT's, TSP ORY and flow masters I've been wanting to put Lt's on my car for a while now, and now that ive saved the green im going ahead with this project. I'm pretty much a nu b so i have a couple of ??? i have an 01 z28 with flowmasters, as far as the ory, ory has no cats right?? does the ory hook up dirrectly on to the flowmasters?? i plan on installing this my self with a few friends. before you go on tellling me to ditch the flowmasters....i dont really have the cash to buy a new cat back..so they will have to do for now. i checked out sl1sounds and the flowmasters with the ory and pacesetter LT's sounds pretty decent. IM will be odering the regular Lt's not the race style ones, so i know that i will need extesion as well. |
Don't know about the ORY bolting up to the flowmaster, it should. If not though you'll just hafta head over to a muffler shop and shell out maybe $30. And yes ORY has no cats. I ordered the LT's non-race, but decided I was goign to go ahead and delete the damn EGR & AIR anyways; since how they clutter the hell out of the engine bay and it's practically free.......plus you loose some weight. Oh and good luck getting the TSP ORY, I called and they said they were on backorder.......my Pacesetter ORY is on backorder from Speed Eng.........sux. :( Also don't waste your money on extension's. The Pacesetter's comes with the wires to extend them yourself, it's not all that hard and if you don't feel confident with a solder gun, you could just crimp it. |
I am getting the same cat-back, just got it today. I have a laundry list of priority parts (overheating problem probably the thermostat) to get in tonight. I did my own pacesetters and they connect right up to my SLP Loudmouth (LM). It took my buddy and i about ten hours on a saturday. They are still in as good a shape as that day and its been almost a year. I just wish I could have taken a look at the way the tips sit coming out the rear. I want to sit straight out instead of angled down to the ground. I just got a ticket for my exhaust and since I have credit at Summit I order the Flowmaster setup cause it seems like a great deal for $300 bucks, the next system would have been $455, I'm sure my exhaust and tint tickets will equal the difference between the two setups. If I where you I would order the extensions, the though of messing up the very simple wiring will be more then a headache then just getting the extension. |
Before you guys go wasting hard earned money on Flowmaster catbacks why dont you read the stickies please. Do a search also. I would recommend the Hooker or Magnaflow for budget catbacks. The Hooker can be bought for under 300 bucks. The Magnaflow for under 400. |

Just swap your Flowmaster muffler with a Hooker muffler. I don't have the complete cat-back. Plus if your getting headers get the race style & have someone delete your codes. |
