What's it gonna take?
 

Ok, my brother is about to get one of those 03 Cobras that everyones ranting about. What will it take to get my ls1 in front of his <img border="0" alt="[guns]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" /> blown cobra? I am looking for the cheapest mods for the most hp. Thanks <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

Im kinda trying to stay away from nitrous, at least for now. Anyone else have a suggestion.

A4=Torque Converter/Lid/Filter/Cut-out=Beats Blown '03 Cobra.

M6=Free-Ram-Air/Lid/Filter/Headers/exhaust (kinda redundant there <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> )=beats Blown '03 Cobra.

Now, this is assuming the said Cobra is stock . . . then we're talkin' pulley swaps, pipes, exhaust etc. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Last months issue of HotRod Magazine had a test drive of the new 03' SVT Cobra. If you want my opinion, it is sad! It is sad because ford has to add power adders to their Mustang to make it keep up with the Camaro. Hotrod's test said that it ran a 12.9 at 112 mph. Not a bad run, but really? Add a Vortech supercharger to any stock LS1 and watch that Mustang in your rear view! I have the following basic mods below and run the same time and 2 mph slower than the Cobra. Just basic bolt ons and a little massaging to get the Ls1 to run 12's. I paid a good bit less for my 1SD package Z28 also! Hardtop and all! Anyhow, just my 2 cents. :guns:FORD
