I got one for ya'll!

Ok, this is just a quiz, but it really happened to me.
I bought and installed a few products. Consisting of 160 Hypertec thermostat, SLP manual fan switch, High Flow lid, all Royal purple synthetics, "including a bottle of the Coolant Ice." And a few other mods that are irrelavant.
Now, I installed all of these products at the same time. I filled the coolant back up and purged the system. Took her for a test drive and after about 5 min, the temp. gauge goes straight to 0! I freaked out. No SES light or anything. I drove back home, let her sit while I checked everything under the hood. Got back in after about 30 min. and started her up and watched the guage. After the car got to normal temp., the gauge dropped straight to 0 again! I freaked out, I called SLP about the switch, I called Hypertec about the thermostat, I called Syntec, "or Royal Purple sythentics corp." No one had any idea as to what the problem was. I even called the factory as a last resort, they gave me bulls&*^ about putting aftermarket components on my car and all this crap. Screw the warranty, "I need SPEED!"
Anyhow, see if ya'll can guess what the problem was, Good Luck! <img border="0" alt="[kaboom]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bomb.gif" />

NO, you see, I have already fixed the problem. I just want to see what ya'll would recommend as a fix for it. I will tell ya'll when someone gets close.
By the way, Auto-Tap wouldn't have found it!
Good try though, next! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Forget to plug the coolant temp sensor back into the head?

Is this one of those trick questions? The temp gauge doesnt have a 0. It starts at 100.

Re: I got one for ya'll!

OK, OK. Here it is. I tried to figure it out by myself, but no luck. I contacted a guy named Mark Shickel from SLP Engineering. He recommended that I purge the coolant system again, this time by removing the throttle body coolant line. I removed it and nothing was coming out. So he said for me to apply a small amount of suction to the line to get things moving. Well, it worked. It spit and sputtered for a while then I got a good even flow. Hooked her back up and what do ya' know, the gauge began to read!
Learn something new every day! Who would have thought that an air pocket would sit in the engine, then move to the same spot the coolant sensor is and sit when the engine gets to normal operating temperature. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> Freaky huh?
Well, now you know, and knowing is half the battle! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
