Default Do warm air extractors on aftermarket hoods really help performance?

I noticed that the Mecham hoods and the Z-style hood from Suncoast Creations for the LS1 Camaro all have warm air extractors. Do these extractors really help the car's performance? Does anybody have before and after quarter mile times? Thanks in advance for the info.

No hp gains, but at high speed they can help keep the nose on the ground by aloowing air out that would otherwise lift on the hood, and can aid in cooling through the radiator by eliminating the back pressure.

LS1 Firehawks have vents also.
