Better y-pipe for FLP's? I was wondering what size/setup y-pipe I should use on my FLP's? I have the stock unit that came with the package. I was also wondering if I would pickup any power by going to a Borla XR1 muffler? 3" in 3" out. My mods are listed below. How is the noise level going to be compared to my current setup? Thanks. Re: Better y-pipe for FLP's? two common options. 1) Cut off the FLP collector (it goes from dual 2.5" pipes to a single 2.5" pipe then works out to a 3" openening for mating to the i-pipe. Many people replace this collector with a flowmaster dual 2.5" -> 3" collector. 2) Make a whole new Y-pipe with 3" tubing. Then have it come into a 3.5" or 4" collector for the i-pipe. |
Re: Better y-pipe for FLP's? http://www.fryrice.com/images/ypipe Picked up 3rwhp/4rwtq at peak by going from the stock 2.5 FLP y-pipe to a 3" with Flowmaster collector. Dyno graph: http://www.fryrice.com/images/headscam346.jpg before and after, no other changes, same dyno Justin [ September 05, 2002, 10:36 PM: Message edited by: Jsears8 ] |
