FLP's arrived today...first impressions...
 

Well after waiting half a lifetime for shipping transit time (I live a LONG way from MTI...), my FLP's finally arrived today. Opened the box and everything was there - no missing parts (one worry over with), just a few minor nicks on the finish from shipping (like I said, they had a long hard road to get to me *L*) but other than that they look like a high quality piece - nice clean, even welds, no flahing, smooth bores and port openings, flanges nice and straight...not too bad (second worry over with *L*). Having them installed tomorrow along with the Hotcam, 180* stat (will be using HPP3), and some new knock sensors (ongoing KR issue - trying something new). A friend with a '02 WS6 just had the hotcam and FLP's installed here and with no tuning, headed out to the track and busted out a 12.7 at 113+mph. We did some autotapping on his today and it is pig rich at WOT so there's more there yet once we finish dialing things in with a MAFT.

Hope to be back on the road in a couple days and to the track in a few days after that <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> .

Question...why didn't you order them from FLP direct? FLP is right here in Naperville, Illinois and is a little closer than MTI is at least. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Unless price was an issue.

Didn't know FLP sold them directly...ah well, got 'em now and I will make the track for the season ender <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> .
