FLP's and Drain Plug Issue

Does anyone know if the drain plug clearance issue has been resolved? I did a search, and I read a lot of posts that mentioned a revised design but the only specific fix I ever noticed was the banging issue. Still time for me to get in on the 15% off sale at FLP, but I don't wanna get shit that doesn't fit right, and doesn't allow me to change my oil for $1300 dollers. thanks in advance.

That's one of many complaints about FLPs.
The only fix I have heard for the oil plug problem is FLP told one guy to take a crow bar and bend his pipes.
Bend a $1300 part!?!
F-that.
Hooker has a much better rep... Most any other header has a better rep. They all are less dough.

Re: FLP's and Drain Plug Issue

I installed mine a couple of weeks ago.

It was close, but I got the drain plug without bending anything.

And I don't think the thought was to bend, rather move the header over slightly to get the necessary clearance, not tweak the header.

Not the cheapest header around, but there aren't any install issues and/or custom fabrication required needed to be legal.

I'm "frugal" and it hurt to pay the price. But after everything was said and done, the FLPs were a better value for the what you get.

I contemplated SLP, Hooker and FLP for a while... and i've decide on FLP....

for the price (especially with the 15% discout until 10/15) it seems like the best package.... Headers, ORP, Cats, Y-Pipe all in one package? Sounds good to me....

I plan on getting mine the 15th... but I wont have any times on the car (after other things) until next year.... it's time for it to sleep

I have no banging issues and no oil drain plug issues with my FLPs. I got them in May and I love them.

When I do the oil changes it is close but there is no clearance problem.

I have heard that tolerances from GM are not that great and that some cars may have issues.

There is a problem with this propaganda: Other header brands don't have this problem. It's strange how only cars with FLP headers have an inconsisent build from the factory.
