Surging REALLY bad on Stock motor... Drill TB?
Surging REALLY bad on Stock motor... Drill TB? I have mods listed below and my car surges BAD when I first start up in the morning. It jumps up to 900 and down to 300 and back up and down about 4 times before it stays up around 850 and then slowly comes back down to 600 after car starts to warm up.
If give it gas and rev it up to 1100rpm at initial startup and hold it there for about 5 seconds it then comes back down to 850 and then down to 600 like normal.
Now on to the question
I am about to have a F1 cam with Stage 2 heads installed. Then have it tuned with Ls1edit. If I have to have the TB drilled. How much should it be drilled?

Re: Surging REALLY bad on Stock motor... Drill TB? I have played with hole sizes and almost always come back to 15/64's. That should help. I wouldn't go any bigger. Take care of the rest with the tuning, even if you have to get it done before the head swap.
