guys with hooker lt's and cats, please help asap.

i've got a buyer for my 98z but ive got to get it inspected. i have hooker lt's and hooker off road pipe. took it to a local exhaust shop and they said they couldn't weld in cats cause theres only about 1/2 in. between the orp and the floorboard. what can i do? thanks.
