Hooker LT's

I have a 2001 SS and I was wondering what stuff do I have to buy to properly install these headers onto my car?..Should I block the EGR or keep it on there?..I am going to purchase the Longtubes with the ceramic coat and the Hooker off road y pipe...Thanks for the help I really appreciate it...

You don't have egr so??? Do what I did , buy them black, then cut the egr off and fill with weld, and cut and turn the air pipes 90' so they work with your stock tubes. Then send em to jet hot and get them coated.. Now they're perfect...fit

That sounds like a great idea. How much does Jethot charge to coat a set of headers ?

Re: Hooker LT's

well, I got the blk ones from them right as they would ONLY sell coated ones, at the stipulation, that I pay full price, for coated ones. Then I did the work and sent them back for the "free" coating, since I payed for it already. But I bet you can find the headers somewhere for a great deal then send to them after, and come out only a few $$ more, but done right..
