The only thing that makes the flowmasters flow poor numbers on our cars is the fact that they use theyre so called "Delta Technology" on a crossflow muffler. If u were to make you a custom system that goes out to the driverside it would be a lot better because its more of a straight shot from one side to the other. With the "Delta Flow" in a crossflow muffler its way to many turns for the exahust to flow freely enough. Its just the fact that the "Delta Flow" sucks in a crossflow style muffler.

hell i bought a hooker aero chamber for a friends truck offset/center config. you could see damn near straight through it tell me how flowmaster would ever beat that.look at one of the flowmaster designs (there all about the same) if you have a offset/center config. the exhaust goes in make a 90 degree turn then has to make another 90 degree turn then the exhaust splits up goes around the baffle then collects in the center on the other side then out. just think if its an offset/offset config. the it has 2 more 90 degree turns at the end. thats why all flowmasters flow like crape. then just think if you add to the fact that you take that restrictive design and make it into a crossflow style then its gets even worse.

flowmaster sucks!!!!
don't waste you money on a flowmaster get the hooker cat-back better sound and better flow than flowmaster ever dreamed.

flowmaster makes me <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" />

by the way the flowmasters for our cars are not delta flows either but adding 2 little delta shaped baffles behind a big one doesn't do any good

My Vote is the Whisper Cat back.

11SECSS went 11.51 @ 118 stock internals... through a Whisper catback.

That isn't even worth a rebuttal. I'm not going to ruin a quality post over a guy with 2 posts. For your info junior, this is my 2nd LS1 and my 5th sports car.

If this is your 5th car, then you havent paid attention, The guy asked a question, I answered it, and you thought you would talk some **** to the new guy just because of a low post count, without contributing anything to the original question. Can you honestly argue with anything I said? Do you really think that there is one Cat-back system that will make or break your car? Are u the same person that will argue a K&N filter over a Holly Powershot??

The Hooker cat-back flows and sounds great especially with headers and no cats.

The dual/dual has been brought up twice and nobody's responded so I'll chime in. The realon the dual/dual is so unpopular is because its so damned quiet, precisely the reason I bought it. It flow with the best of them (except LM) and sounds great with LTs and ORY. And you hardly get any of that rasp most people are plagued with.

The Random Tech Catback is a straight thru design for the left pipe with a "bleed-off" for the right pipe. Has shown a 16rwhp increase. Sells for about $320 at Thunder.

He posted a list with lots of flow numbers. I just remember the ones that really stuck out... Like Flowmaster flowing so low, Magnaflow being the highest flowing crossflow set-up, Borla and Hooker just because the are so popular, and the LM/bullets because they flow like open 3" pipe.
