What plug gap for TR6's N\A???

What plug gap for TR6's N\A??? I am going to be running the ngk tr6 plugs becuase of my high static and dynamic compression.
I have no plans of running nitrous any time soon.
What should these be gapped to for an n/a car?
I know they come gapped in the .03x range but I am hearing this is too tight for no nitrous?
does .045 sound good?

I have been through this for a while...and been searching.
If you have 11.1 compression or higher and or 100 horsepower over stock...ngk and most manufacturers recommend a 1 step colder plug. If you are borderline or unsure...it is better to go on the colder side.
I know what the 55's should be gapped too....but several people have reported a rough/stumbling idle when the tr6's are gapped too tight.

I'm having success with TR5's gapped at .040. They are just like the TR55 only gapped smaller. Most mfgs don't suggest moving the gap more than +/- 10, thus the TR5 for those who want a tighter gap but not necessarily the colder plug. I'm at 11:1 and no idle or stumbling issues.

My car seemed to have lost alot of power during the 100 miles I ran TR-6's gapped a .038. This is cam only, no spray....
Chuck suggested it because of some issues I had on the dyno, but the car was a dog afterwards. It ran and cruised incredibly smoother though, just seemed to have lost some pep.
I swapped back to TR-55's at .050 and it seemed to have regained its lost power.

I have talked to a lot of other high compression h/c guys and most all of them said the tr55's became way too hot. NGK also recommends a tr6 plug for my application. I am going to give them a try and see what happens.
As effective compression ratio increases through engine modifications or forced induction, a colder plug using a narrower gap and higher ignition voltage is required.

Ill probably set the gap to around .040 to .045 depending on what they start at ( dont want to open them up more than .010 from stock)just because several people have reported a rough idle with a gap below .040. I know not everyone has...but I might as well gap it higher so I dont have to worry. Taking them all out again and re-gapping would just be a hassle.

Just to throw my recent experience up on this one. I just swapped out to TR6's on my h&c LS1. Using the spark plug reference thread, I gapped them ~.060 (gap is listed under "heads and AFR" TR55). Car was pulling clean, it never skipped a beat to 7KRPM on the dyno. It put down 350RWHP on a Mustang dyno. Swapped out to another set of TR6's @ .038 and pickup up 56 RWHP 
. Nothing was changed but plugs and the ones I removed were fresh from the night before.

So you had the tr6's gapped at .060. Then put in a new set gapped at .038 and picked up 56rwhp?
holy ****....I cant believe your car was running good before that if it was down 50 horsepower. Very strange.

Jeff as my witness, the crazy thing was it did not break up AT ALL. It pulled cleanly through 7K rpm. Just down on power..All the plugs looked great when pulled.
