Default 6 Liter Block Problems Bolting Up Alternator...

I just got my 408 from FFHP and I was bolting up all of the accessories and for some reason, the provisions for the alternator are not the same as my stock LS1 motor. What are you 408 and iron block guys doing to mount the alternator up? I can get the bottom bracket bolt and side mount to the block on but the center short bolt and top bolt for the support bracket are laughing at me with no holes provisioned. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys.

Dustin

When i had a 6.0 i drilled and tapped the top hole for the alt. I deleated the alt bracket so i didn't use the center bolt.

I know. I have an 01 block. I think I used like two of the four bolts needed. Works fine.

I might have to try that. Since I'm trying to use a 6.0 block with F-Body brackets also.

The one I used was a 10mm x 1.50. I dont know what size drill bit I used, since i cant seem to find it anymore. I just took the bolt to a few places, and did some searching to find the right size. I had the best luck at Ace hardware. Hope that helps out some.
