Are you better off buying Pacesetters for 400 bucks or spending some more and getting QTP or Kooks????????????? No opinons please,,,,, just personal experience.

What exactly are you sick of? Money is like driveability, it's relative. You have to decide this for yourself. With the cheese I have now, I'd probably buy QTP's. When I bought the pacesetters, I was on a seriously smaller budget.

They are all good headers. Not sure what kind of answer you are looking for. The Pacesetters are a great budget header, but for twice the $$ you can get stainless headers. If money is no option then obviously QTP's or Kooks are the way to go. If you want to save some money, then buy the Pacesetters. If you can only afford a Honda Civic, then buy one......if you can afford a Lamborgini, then buy the Lamborgini. :confused:

I heard that ceramic headers are better than stainless steel headers because they keep the heat out of the engine bay better.

You can always get the stainless ones coated
It's your call, if you can afford it go for the coated stainless, if you can't, the coated pacesetters are a good budget header, you'll get the same HP gains with either set.
It's a question of do I spend $12-1400 for headers that'll last damn near the life of the car, or do I spend $400 for a set that I may have to replace down the road (due to the eventual rust)

if they make almost the same hp why blow 700 more bucks cuz its shiner. nobody is even gonna notice the stainless steel headers anyways.

buying high end stainless headers for HP gains is a huge waste of money comparable to buying an electric waterpump for like a 2-3hp gain for 400 bucks. If you are looking at stainless look at them for the right reasons; how long they will last not how much extra power you will gain over a budget header because the gains are negligible.

I went with the SS kooks because I didn't want to worry about snapping header bolts 10 years down the road when the headers will need to be replaced. The bad thing with coated headers is that all of the dirt and debris that gets kicked up off the road while driving acts like sand blasting on the headers and after that coating is gone, they will start to rust through unless you can continually get the car in the air to recoat them. I've cut corners in the past and it's always cost me more money in the long run. If I can't buy the best, I wait and save until I can.

This is true, coated headers will eventually rust.

my next set of headers will be kooks. like said above some where why spend $400 now and replace them a few years down the road spend another $400 and have to do all the work all over again? i say spend the money IF you have it and not ever have to worry about it again :).

I just installed a set of QTP headers and it was a pain in the A$$!!!! I look at it this way i will only have to do it once and thats it! I wont have to worry about replacing rusted headers. In the long run if you replace them you'll have spent more money than the QTP's, either way its your call.

I think this has already been answered.

1. Mainly because of the anti-corrisve properties of stainless steel. SS headers will likely out last the car, so if you plan on keeping the car long term they are a good investment. Mild steel (coated or not) will rust and need replacing as 'x' number of years.

2. Appearance, the SS headers will remain looking good and will easily clean up. Coated mild steel will look worse as the years go by. Bling factor is important to many else why would you be able to buy shiny intake manifolds, body kits, alloy wheels......
