Default Deleteing cats...have a few ?'s

I have a set of stock cats gutted out.
I was wondering if there wound be any horsepower or performance gains by doing this.
Will the car run any richer or leaner.
I have stock manifolds.
02 Z M6 car also.
I have a Corsa cat back will this be alot louder also?

I will also need sims. correct?

thanks

--You might see a small performance gain, but I doubt it will be of any significance
--You don't need 02 sims if you can stand the SES light being on all the time.
--It will be a bit louder, but it doesn't bother me as I have stock manifolds, gutted cats, and NO muffler----just a 3" turndown after the axle <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> .

Because of the greatly increased airflow that headers provide over the stock manifolds. I think that the stock pcm tries to over-compensate and ends up going rich. I think that is it.........

I gained 6rwhp by gutting the cats. I really like the sound now. Go for it. I had the SES light on for about 2 weeks before I got the O2 sims
