You will find very quickly that there are A LOT of people who are very happy with them. I bought them for about as much as you mentioned above and they slid right in. Bolted up perfectly, no rubbing, mated right to the Y pipe perfectly and have held up great so far. I have ZERO complaints about the Pacesetters. They are a great bang for the buck LT.

If I had it to do over again...I would have gone stainless. After 4 months on the car, my Pace Setters are already rusting alot. I'm hoping they last for a while but it is too soon to tell. Bang for the buck you can't beat them, though.

Also keep in mind that you are in Ohio where snow and bad roads are something you have to battle with right? Here in Austin I don't have that problem and I'm sure the threadstarter, he being in Florida, will not have that issue either.

If you are in a cold weather climate where salting the roads is going to occur, yes stainless would be better. But if not, coated should be fine in 90% of cases.

I would be weary about buying a first production run of anything. When f-body Pacesetters first came out, they had all kinda issues. They later revised them into what they are today.

I like my Pacesetters for what they are, but I bought them when I was really low on cash. I think I'd go with some stainless ones if I bought a set today.
