Mounting Holley intake...what mod's are needed? I believe I need to countersink the bolts along the bottom of the intake, but is there anything else? A little help <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> |
Re: Mounting Holley intake...what mod's are needed? Do a search, the guy posting the thread went by F1. I have one of the older Holley manifolds, we had to countersink the both the access panel screw holes and the valley pan screw holes and use screws with countersunk heads to get the manifold to seat properly. We also had to grind some of the shoulder off of the inner head bolts because they were sticking out to far and not allowing the manifold to seat properly. I thought that Holley had fixed these problems with the latter production manifolds. If you need more info e-mail me. Mark |
Re: Mounting Holley intake...what mod's are needed? I picked it up from a firend yesterday (NIB). I think it is a later production model because the included literature talks about 01 and 02 applications and LS6 applications. The access panel does not seem to be an issue. It's tucked up in there pretty well with tiny little bolts. I have ARP head studs, so hopefully they aren't an issue on top. It's not gonna go on right away. I think I will do some porting/polishing and try to match the intake ports first. I may even plumb it for N2O direct port before it goes on. Thanks, Todd |
