TREX+no cats+Borlamouth=too loud

hey guys i really need to quiet my car down quite a bit...before i had the TREX it was clse to perfect...but now it is rediculous.

I would really like to quiet it down a little bit.

What i am thinking about doing is the one of the following options.

A. This one really depends on how loud it will be..as i am not sure.

3inch true duals into 3 chambered mufflers like sweet thunders, then neck down to 2.5 inch after the mufflers over the axle and into my CME.
this would probobly be my favorite...but i am unsure about how loud it will be and if it is as loud as now that would be bad...

B. A good possibility

Keep my exhaust the way it is now but buy like 2 sweet thunder mufflers in like 8-10 inches and put them in the back of my car right before the 90 degree bends going into the CME...

I think this could sound good and still be fairly inexpensive.

C. This one wont happen for a while because it is going to be the most expensive..

2 electric cutouts, followed by two 3 inch cats, and then into the exhaust i have.
if it is still too loud with the cats added in and the Borlamouth i would ad something like factroy exhaust back in and then just open the dual three inch cats that will be right after the headers for when i need the free flowing exhaust.

Let me know your opinions
Thanks
Louie

I am partial to option A. I have true duals through twister mufflers on a 2.5" setup and it is run on a 244/248 cam in a 346 as well.

Lets face it. You don't get a rex to be quiet.

True duals man. Just get some more restrictive mufflers and it should tame it down enough.

yeah i am not looking for it to be quiet...but it is...i am sorry to say...annoyingly loud.

Dont get me wrong it sounds awesome...i love that, and if i didnt have to drive it on a daily basis i wouldnt care but i take it through drive throughs and everything.

Its funny the drivablility has been fixed, idles perfect, driving is fine, and i want to take the exhaust due to the cam. i never would have thought that that would be what is annoying me from the cam.

Will true duals with sweet thunders be quieter than my borlamouth?

thanks
Louie

I wouldn't put cats on that cam, waaaaay too much overlap.

put on your stock catback and some cats....then put dual cut outs before the cats

Change the cat-back. Try trading for something in the parts for sale section.

Not sure what size the I pipe is on your car.. but I'd put a cutout in the I pipe, and put the stock muffler back on. Not the best setup for power, but wil be relativly open with the cutout open when you need it, and probably as close to quiet as it's gonna get when you close it.

yeah i might trade my exhaust with a friend with stock exhaust...
