LT's help! some one fill me in on LT's, what i need to get to do it right and what the best is. my car isnt lowered and i would like to have a backup pipe with a cat on it for inspection....when i stop doing them <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" /> i was looking at the hookers and their ypipe. do i need to replace the big collector that goes to the muffler to like a 4"???any comments would help, thanks |
Re: LT's help! For a lowered car you definitely don't want SLPs. Something like these PPC headers that have excellent ground clearance, is what you want. These PPC units also are available with full fitting Mandrel bent y-pipes, with or without Random Technology Cats (the highest flowing cats). The Y-pipes hook up to the stock intermediate pipe (going to the rear) or any other aftermarket pipe. You don't need anything bigger than 3" for the "cat-back" system (the intermediate pipe & muffler set-up) on a mostly stock car.
