Question bout 4.10's

I have a 2002 WS6. Do I have to go with SLP's paddle kit to install 4.10's. I read something about the SS, Firehawk, and WS6 not having to use this. Is this true? Also would you recommend this gear over a 3.73?

Nobody really recomends 4.10's just because. People recomend it depending on your set up. What mods do you have so far.

Re: Question bout 4.10's

I only have a few mods which include filter, lid, and MAF sensor. But at the track I'm hitting the rev limiter in 3rd with 3.42's and 3.73's would just put me shifting into fourth.

Re: Question bout 4.10's

If you are planning to use stock tires or 26" drag tires (most common for us F-Bodies) I would stick to 3.73's. You will finish in about the right gear. You need shift tuning to avoid the rev limiter. 4.10's are typically for bigger tires in the back. If you are planning on forced induction (turbo, super, N2O) then I would stick with 3.42's for those really high trap speeds.
