So you have an 01 Forumla ?

ONLY SS and Firehawk were touched with SLP parts in that year.

And the Blackwing was the only "other" lid used by GM.

And to get the Blackwing....You had to get either a Firehawk or an SS with the 345hp option.

Either you bought your car used or if you bought it new someone swapped the lid.

An someones been BS'ing you.

By the way....that Maple red is beautiful !

that's my lid. it came stock with the f-body along with the dual/dual. notice, it is NOT a blackwing lid. it is the same aftermarket lid that you get from SLP and was put on stock by the general.

That's exactly what I was going to say about the lid and exhaust. The previous owner had to of put them on. The dual/dual is a nice catback its just too quiet for me. I kinda wish I wolud of kept it and just put long tubes on but oh well.

Light test is a good idea. Another one is the smoke test. Move a cigarette all around the lid at both ends while revving the engine. If any smoke gets sucked up, it is not sealed perfectly. Do some rigging and try again until the smoke doesn't get sucked in. Seems to have worked for me...
