I don't know what to tell you man... my setup is teh same as your, cept for the cat back and it's loud as all freaking hell. Perhaps you should give it a little more gas or not shift as soon. My car doesn't really start producing the sound until about 2000 rpms. And if you can't hear the sound you might not want to blast your music or hav your ipod going

are there any catbacks besides LM that actually amplify the sound and are louder than open cutout? sorry if its stupid to ask. thanks again
You can just remove the cross brace altogether. Most who have LTs have to remove it because of the clearance issues you are experiencing...Then no more rattles...

I also didn't feel so much better performance when I installed the LTs

My setups is Pacesetter LTs (coated), ORY-pipe, Magnaflow CB, a lid and ported TB.
I put some nuts between the cross-brace-member thingy by the Y-pipe to get some clearance. But it still vibrates as hell under the drivers seat where it's hitting the body. Any ideas to put in between? Heat-resistance...

Taking that brace off won't hurt structural rigidity or anything like that right?

the real performance gains come from a tune after u install the headers, LT's without a tune is good for 10 rwhp, and the tune is worth 20-30

mine does get louder around 2g, i mean its loud, yea...but ive been driving around a stock ss with 2 cutouts on the y (with cats and stock manifolds) all summer long. i dunno i just expected it to be a little louder than that and its really not. i will admit at wot it screams.

o and get this, i take it back cuz its banging against the body and their like, with pacesetter headers and y, the body banging is normal. im like hell no its sooo loud....bs
