header and y-pipe q's Well i just got a 01' Camaro 6MT, i have magnaflow catback and lid on the way. while i was under the car today i seen the pancaked y-pipe that can't be that great for performance so next on the list is y-pipe and headers. But im a bit confused , i have emissions testing here in AZ so can i get a LT's with a catted y-pipe that will hook up to headers and catback? or do i have to get mid lengths with catted ypipe? Also if i get LT's and catted ypipe do i need o2 sims for behind the cats or will it be function with the original o2 sensors? sorry for all the questions, still geting used LS1 thing :) |
you can get LT's but get them with AIR, EGR hookups and still be good for emissions, and get the catted Y-pipe they will bolt right up to the headers, you should not need o2 sims if you have cats just use your factory o2 sensors. hope this helps. |
You could also skip the sims by just getting a tune and have the guys edit out any codes that could pop up, but for the most part... :stupid: :) |
Arizona is OBDII testing only, no codes = pass. They never did a visual when I was there. |

Yeah it will be fine. You will get an SES light without rear 02 simulators but dont worry about that. Many people wait for a tune anyway. Good luck. |
