Where'd my cats go? Had LT's for a while now and was planning on taking the half-asssed excuse for cat inserts out of my y-pipe...well I disassembled the y today and the corrugated-cardboard-looking metal in the cat inserts had completely broken free and were nowhere to be found! I heard several loud "boom" noises while cruising several months ago, so I guess that's when they went. Is this normal for these poor quality cat inserts? Is what's left of the metal inserts probably clogging up my muffler now? |
Sounds like they blew out to me! If you're not getting rattling, I'd call it OK. I doubt they are going to hurt performance, and I'd be willing to bet that 90% flew out the tail pipes. |
Make that 93%. |
maybe even 94%... :jest: |
Yeah, seems a lot of Jet-Hot owners have had blow-out problems. I decided to save mine for later and just put in the blanks. |
