GMMG woes.....
GMMG woes..... Last night I went out for a cruise around town trying to see who was out. I first put gas and then I started crusin. I got to a local spot and I turned off my car and got out. When we set up a couple of races, I turned on my car and started driving. At the first light, I stoped and my car started vibrating in the back like crazy. I honestly had no idea of what it was. I then kept on driving for a while and it would only do it at stops or when the car was idling. I then caleld it a night and came home. Today I lifted my car up and checked it. At first it sounded like a thin piece of aluminum was rattling or like my exhaust was hitting on the panhard bar but nope....
I then took out a piece of rubber hose and played doctor on the exhaust....
I found out that something is rattling inside of the GMMG right there where the I pipe splits into two and then goes into the chambered mufflers.....
Im sooooo sad...... I pay soo much for this exhaust for it to crap on me like this ?
What can I do? I need some ideas on how to fix it or what to do.

i bet its part of your catts. take off your Y pipe and examine your catts. i bet youll find apart of it broke off...it just got blown downt he I pipe to that Y and got logged there...no biggie...that exact thing happened to me that is why i run a Offroad Y now..
i went through 2 sets of carsound cats and every one did the same thing...

yeah ive done the same thing. its more than likely your cats that are finally giving way. with no cats you might get some rasp but im not exactly sure so dont quote me. maybe someone else can chime in on that issue.

can anyone tell me how loud the lt/catted Y pipe/gmmg will be at around 2500 rpms?? sorry to jack your thread but since we were on the topic i thought id ask. is it tolerable for a 5am drive through an appartment complex??

Hmmmm...
My car has been doing this for probably the past two months, I figured the muffler worked its way up into the heat shield or something. I haven't had a chance to get under there and figure out whether I am right or not...

Get yourself a better exhaust set up and maybe you'll get into the 13's.

yeah, 12.2x with my bolt-on car isn't cutting it. maybe you can buy it, it's in the for sale section. then maybe YOU could get into the 13s, or skip them altogether...
true duals > gmmg flow, sound, period.
btw i have 3" true duals w/x and magnaflow 4x9s...it sounds horrible
