You have water in your oil. Blown head gasket most likely :(

i dont have that much, maybe a drop, however i do tons of short driving so its normal to have some gunk. Do you short trips? its from the car not warming up all the way.

where are you located at. Some times in the winter up north you can get that film by not getting your engine temps up if you don'tdrive very far and you get that film because it doesn't get hot enough to burn off. It doesn't mean thet you have a blown headgsaket but it could be. Clean it out put it back on and check it next oil change. Check you coolent levels. When you change you oil next time take a look at it, you would be able to tell if water was in it or not.

A blown headgasket would be pretty obvious as your car would overheat, blow white smoke. I had the same exact thing on my cap when i checked it, except less than you. Check your oil and coolant like was said.

I live on the Canadian border in Michigan. Also its only 3 miles to work. I let it warm up about 3-4 min and as it has gotten colder my 3400 stall doesn't even lock up. 1/2 the drive is at 45mph and the other at 30, so yeah no real chance to get totally warmed up. Coolant was full when I checked the oil. The oil has never looked funny when I changed it (Castrol 0W30 since spring).
Thanks alot guys.

then it just means that it is not heating up all the way, completly normal. Just check it on occasion and clean it off.

yeah i live in montreal and even my old job was like 2-3 miles away like you. Im sure your car is fine as these cars don't just normally blow headgaskets.

Very normal if car isn't run for a long time. Look under the cap on a 99-05 2.0l vw jetta if you think that is bad.
