Little gap help on TR6's

For a 402ci.
11:1
248/254 629/622 113
Patriot Stage 3 LS6 heads

Runs on pump gas.

Thanks in advance!!!

If no nitrous then .050

Mr. Luos Oct 29, 2006 11:18 PM

Nope.
All motor.

Thanks!! I thought maybe a little smaller than that, but I could easily be wrong.

LSX are not gap dependent. You could run .045 with no ill effects.
We reduce gap to prevent spark blowout as compression rises or nitrous or both.

For that motor...
TR6 or TR55???

I was going to try the TR6 and see how it goes. Compression isn't much more than stock, but I was thinking a touch cooler plug might not be a bad idea.

moving to external...

I'm running TR6s at .045 and they are burning very clean and healthy.

408 with a 248/252 11.6:1 compression pump gas motor here also.

I hope this helps.

Tr6 @ .040 - .045

Mr. Luos Oct 30, 2006 08:18 PM

Thanks guys!!

I will try .045" and go from there.

I've got a 383 11.6:1. Just switched from TR55's (.050) to TR6's (.040). Cured a few random KR issues I was having.
