changed LT's & y, now terrible vibration

I had QTP LT's & catted y on my car, then after damaging them badly (don't ask how), I had to replace them. I replaced them and ever since it came back from the shop who did it, there is an ungodly vibration that sounds like it is coming from under the passenger side floorboard. It never did this with the previous LTs & y, and these are the same make (QTP w/ catted y) so idk why theyre doing it now. the shop just said every set fits different so theyre probably hitting somewhere. would poly motor and trans mounts fix this? or just motor mounts? please help because this sound is driving me crazy it's so loud. Note: it is only usually audible when stopped at red lights.

I did poly motor and trans mounts and all of my hitting issues went away instantly. i can't say if the motor mounts alone would solve your issue, because mine was destroyed, lol

besides, fo 20 bux, you may as well do it

I would take it back to the shop.......thats me though

You could always get some bumpstops.

Could be hitting the K member. Use a dremel.

when i changed my tranny mount it fixed my problem.

you may not like a polly motor mount. makes it really stiff. but i think that the LT is hitting the K member and will need to be notched out. That is what i had to do on my QTP LTs... also check to see if the primaries are rubbbing the pass. floor board

thanks, ya I kind of hinted to the shop that I wasn't happy but that didn't do much good, now it's too late, I'll just have to further investigate it this winter and see what I can do to fix it. she got put away for the season last week *tear*

it should be taken back to the shop to have them put it on right
