Who ports manifolds?
Tried the search (broken), just wanted to know who to go to for a port job on my victor jr manifold. I don't know how this should be done since the block is decked and that changes the alignment. Will they just gasket match, or do they need port measurements from my heads? Let me know about your experiences and the best way to do it.

no that is not right, i had heads ported for $600 and i had my intake port matched to that in that price. so no i would venture to say no more than $300 depending on who and where

You are looking at $400.00 plus s/h. That includes top to bottom gasket matched and all and not to mention a free glass beading if it needs it. You send in the gasket YOU ARE GOING TO USE and the intake. Keep in mind that in order to do it correctly it should be gasket matched to the heads for the best job. Call metco motorsports and ask for brian

I would have them port matched to your heads, after the heads are bolted onto the motor if possible. I know you can use an inside scribe on a FAST, not sure how you'd go about marking the outline of the ports on a Victor.

Has anyone tried Extrude Honing? I guess I need to get the heads bolted down and see whats going on. I just hate lugging the motor back and forth to the machine shop.

well the last 20 or so victor jr. intakes i have done were all used with a gasket on either sm or big blocks. it wasnt specified what it was going on so my bad but if the o ring is what he was shooting for. either way if you need to know how to properly port match the intake to the heads. you can do it in your garage on a stand and go from there. using a scribe is not the way to get correct results. you will need the heads installed and whatever gaskest you are running and the intake. a 24 inch straight edge and a small square. a sharpi and a scratch all. you need to transfer the openings of the ports over to the intake. if you need more info let me know. it is easier than it sounds. shakerheads@aol.com

I've always wondered how the hell they figure out how to port match the intakes.
