Non-Coated Hooker LT's How are these fitment wise? Still enough clearance to lower? Will there be any difference other than looks with just the painted headers instead of the Cermic coated ones?? Does anyone know if the 98-99 model headers have the E.G.R and A.I.R fitments? thanks |
dont get non cermaic coated ones. it will get super hot and start melting shit. they fit fine, you can lwoer it but not much. 98-00 have air and EGR provisions 01-02 only have air previsions |
I think you should spend the extra and get coated also...in a few months you will ask yourself why you didn't...looks, less heat....much better and worth it..........BTW..check out the Edelbrock Coated Race Style Headers with Air/Egr..I did and am quite happy..nice welds and the coating looks brand new still after 10,000 miles. [these went in nice also, and good clearance] |
yeah clearence wont be your problem with non coated headers. rusting on the other hand will want to be your best friend. |
Yea its not the looks or the fitment of the coated ones, its the fact that the coating does a billion times better job of isolating the heat so that underhood temps stay downt |
well i think i might hit up the pacesetters, from what ive been reading they fit good, have good quality and a cheap price tag |
yea i have coated pacesetters fitment is GREAT, im lowered at least 2 inches and never scrap my headers, now the Y pipe is a difference story, but i scraped my stocker too |
