Chambered with O/R Y and LT's?

Ok so I currently have pacesetter longtubes, an offroad y pipe and the loudmouth catback. I have a moroso muffler which I was planning on putting in place of the resonator. I have a guy interested in trading me a classic chambered muffler for my moroso. I am curious if anyone has any experience with a chambered muffler with longtubes and an offroad y or maybe any soundclips. I am just wondering how it would sound.....thanks. :)

Nope, different than GMMG.

Here is a couple of clips I took a while ago. It sounds pretty close to the LM set up, it has a bit lower tone- though not much. It was a bit of a hassle getting it to mate to the I-pipe, so beware. I used the 16" and think I should have gone longer, but I'm gonna switch to TD's anyhow and get another one. The price is right and they have a true 3" center. http://media.putfile.com/powerstick-idle; http://media.putfile.com/powerstick-rev

DOUBT IT Nov 27, 2006 06:47 PM

I'm probably going to do a setup within the next few months that involves putting a Powerstick 18" in the I, and one mounted transversely where the stocker goes. That ought to mellow it down a little bit.

I'll post up all the info when I do it, as well as video/sound clips.

Of course, I will be installing dual cutouts for the track. :drive:

Ok well now I have a big ass cam coming and I was really don't want to do a completely different catback so if I run a chambered in place of the resonator and then do another one where the muffler normally is would that help out a bit?

It would definitely help out. We also carry the Powerpacks which are a noncrimped version of the Powerstick muffler. They will be a bit quieter that the Powersticks with the same great sound.

What would be the best placement of a powerpack or two in the LM catback....

I would replace the LM resonator with one, and also put one where a stock muffler would go.

thanks.....sorry for all the questions, lol. What would be an ideal size for the one to go where the stock muffler goes?

Does either the powerstick or powerpack have about the same noise reduction as using a dynomax race bullet? On some of the louder ORY / catback systems a few db in sound reduction is sometimes wanted. Just looking to see if these would a usefull alternative to the bullet.

anything will sound diff or better than lm1 because of what the lm1 is i have it on my car and i love it but i want something different and i'm going to go with the longest powerstick i can fit under there.

Powerstick would be similar to a dynomax bullet. Powerpack will be a bit quieter.

Different sound though (better IMO). Less resonance & deeper.

SSmokin99 Dec 10, 2006 10:14 PM

What if I put a powertstick in my I-pipe with my GMMG?? Will it be LOUDER???

pSSycotic Dec 10, 2006 10:44 PM

Here ya go playa... Pacesetters, ORY, 1 chamber dumped before rear axel..sorry for the shitty vid ( i got a nail in my tire halfway through it) As soon as its nice out ill do some drive bys and better shots.

Its pretty deep (camera doesnt do it justice) and its really loud til WOT

myltwon Dec 13, 2006 11:43 PM

also what's the longest powerstick/powerpack you can swap in place of the LM resonator?
