Default coated or uncoated LT's?

i am getting pacesetters this christmas but is it really that big of a deal if u dont get coated, the car is never gonna see winter, but i can get uncoated for $299.99 or coated for 374.99, so i think i may just wanna go coated just cuz thats only $85 more and they will last longer.

I would get coated. They look better and will keep the engine bay a little cooler than uncoated.

Definitly get something ATLEAST coated...if you want the best, go stainless

I've had Kooks which were Jet-Hot coated on my previous '99 TA for about 2 years and honestly I wasn't happy with the coating that much at all. The collectors looked horrible, the coating pretty much flaked off and there was a bunch of rust in that area, up top near the flanges there was slight rust coming through as well.

I just picked up a set of American Racing Headers with 1 7/8" primaries (I plan on a D1SC set-up) w/o fittings. I didn't want to mess around and got a really high quality set of stainless headers, my car is actually getting a super nice stainless TD set-up from ARH!
These ARH headers are REALLY REALLY nice, the quality on them is awesome, those guys do some amazing work!
Not only do they do amazing work, but they are super cool to deal with and very down to earth guys...definitly look into it.

You can check them out in this thread HERE

If you want some direct contact info for American Racing Headers you can PM me as well.

buying uncoated headers is the biggest mistake you can get. coated or stainless - NOTHING ELSE.

You should pay the extra for the coated. Ive seen non coated rust quickly without ever seeing snow. Plus they don't look very good in the engine bay.
