Another 90/90 install questions thread
Another 90/90 install questions thread Mine stuff is in the mail. NIB fast90 and NW tb.
I searched and read all the threads I could find , just want to be sure about a few things.
1. I know I need to replace the valley cover bolts.
2. New intake will not come w/port gaskets. It does come with TB gaskets though , right?
3. I sold my intake gaskets as part of the deal for my ls6 intake and I need to buy new ones. Which do I buy? Napa for ls6 gaskets or specific comp/fast gaskets?
Intake is going to sit on TSP Edelbrock heads. Do I need to epoxy to port match or leave it be?
4. re-use stock intake bolts as the ones that come with intake rust.
*5 Do I need a tune right away or can I drive it to the tuner in a few days?
I know in order to maximise the new intake I'll need a tune. I just dont want to go lean on the way there. Any issues there?
Anything anyone else can think of that I haven't?
Maybe a stickie with all the pertinent facts would be a good idea. I looked for one. TIA

you needed to reuse the port gaskets from your ls1 intake, but it DOES come with the TB gasket. it comes with all the other bolts u need. im driving my car with the new 243s heads i put on as well as my 90/90. drives fine, although its in need of a tune. it surges when its cold but it idles perfect and drives awesome when its warm
IMO if you can sort of "twist" counterclockwise as you lift off the LS6 you can potentially increase your chances of not breaking the Oil sender unit. The brake booster kindof hooks around it so pulling it straight out the front would definately snag it, but if you twist it you'll at least get a little more slack in the hose so you can lift it over the sensor.
