Bit's Build Up Cont..

Ok...the thread got moved to Internal... :bang:
Here's my plan..

With my current meager bolt-ons I'll give myself a starting Hp of ~300 maybe 310

Inhale:
Port and Polish the TB

Exhale:
JBA or other shorty headers
Yeah Yeah I know...but its not going to change and until someone can tell me a way to install long-tubes and pass smog in California..legally shorties it is
Shorty haters back off :jest:

Custom True Dual exaust system with over the axle into a double in double out Dymomax Ultra flow muffler out back

Internals:
OldMan or 224/224 cam 114 or maybe 112 LSA depending on who I can get to do the tune

External boltons:
Underdrive pulley

Drive train:
TA Rear cover
3.90 / 3.73 gears..again.. 4.10's are the drag racer way to go..but I aint drag racing and I don't want to run the tolerances that close..Im keeping my 10 bolt

Tune the shit outta the mother...Then drive it like I stole it!

My choosing NOT to go the heads and cam route just yet..I really don't need the HP nor do I need the maintenance headaches..mostly I want to drive the car Vs constantly wrenching on it

Who wants to guess my final HP rating

Ok...back on track....

Im going to pick up some wires and plugs....

Im going to get the MSD 8.5's....but what plugs NGK 555 seemes to be the general go to set...any others to consider ? and why

Got the Bo White TB...mann..thats the first tim in a log while that Ive added somthing ito tah car and could really feel a diff....
Much more peppy....quicker to accelerate..even when a low gear lugging the engine a bit...75 bucks well spent

Check this thread for full bolton numbers at the wheels:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamometer-results-comparisons/625197-how-much-have-guys-all-bolt-ons-seen-dyno-wheels.html

See if you can get a before dyno, then an after dyno. Full bolton cars seem to dyno ~350, since you're running shorties take away 15 rwhp, so with a small cam like Comps 216/220 114 that adds another 20 or so hp. Also we need to see pics of that exhaust when complete! :)

Hey viper can you send me pics of the TB. Did it get polished on the outside too or only inside??

Thats 224/.581 cam is a good choice. Not too big, but proven to make good power.

BitViper Jan 11, 2007 07:18 PM

Sure..its not really polished...just very smooth see..I took a wire brush to it to shine it up a bit..Ill do a better job later
