post a link to the kit so we can see what it comes with.. you wil need to cut and fab a few parts if you are tying it into your existing CME

Bassani's web site sucks. At least they could have pics of what it is you are buying.
You are definnitly going to need 2-90degree bends to mount to the CME, + 4 clamps if your not going to weld it. Do you have long tubes or stock manifolds?

95stsrider 01-10-2007 11:26 AM

im going to keep my stock manifolds for now. I already have the CME on my car now but i would still need the 2 90* to make it work? Let me find the link to it and ill post it up in a few.

I have both video clips of my exhaust... the first one is just bassani exhaust, it has noticeable exhaust note, not loud and then I have one on exhaust sticky not the true dual sticky. That one has w/ my Stainless works longtube headers w/ bassani true duals. It's definitely LOUDER. :jest: As far as CME set up w/ bassani, you just need the mandrel bent 90* for both side, cut or extend pipes for adjustments and the dual centered tips. Bassani set up includes all the hardware like clamps, torque stop, welded hangers, spacers for the under body brace and 3.5" bassani chrome tips (which I threw away, looked like a pair of fart cans tips IMO)

on a scale of 1-10 how difficult is it to bolt up to the stock manifolds? any other problems or suggestions please let me know.

bene 01-11-2007 08:05 AM

1 is easy and 10 is difficult? I'd say 2 or 3.

Here's what's included:

http://ubfm.net/duals/Bassani_comp.jpg

Basically it comes with all the hardware required to hook up to factory manifolds. It's a great system, sound and performance were awesome. On a dyno I picked up 20 lb/ft of tq over my stock ypipe configuration.

Cool that looks like the kit i need. Did you order it from vinci or somewhere else?

bene 01-15-2007 02:23 PM

95stsrider 01-15-2007 02:44 PM

alright cool. do i really need the stainless one or will the aluminum work? i dont know how long im going to keep this system on because i have a fellin sometime down the road im going to want to dump it at the rear and make it loud as hell.

9t8z28 01-15-2007 02:51 PM

Aluminized steel should last no less than 7 years.

foxrus14 01-15-2007 03:00 PM

I have Bassani competition cat-back on my LS1. I am doing Pacesetters and tsp ORY this spring when I get it out of storage. www.fquick.com/foxrus14 check my exhaust clips on fquick.com if there is something else you want to see let me know. i also have some pics of my Bassani right out of the box. great quality and have not heard a deeper throaty exhaust out there.
