Bassani Questions? OK so heres the deal im planning on starting to order my mods this week and first thing is my exhaust. im going with the bassani tru-duals and then tying them into my CME so i can keep my stock look. My question is what all do i need other then the exhaust kit? please all help would be great. Thanks LA |
post a link to the kit so we can see what it comes with.. you wil need to cut and fab a few parts if you are tying it into your existing CME |
Bassani's web site sucks. At least they could have pics of what it is you are buying. You are definnitly going to need 2-90degree bends to mount to the CME, + 4 clamps if your not going to weld it. Do you have long tubes or stock manifolds? |
im going to keep my stock manifolds for now. I already have the CME on my car now but i would still need the 2 90* to make it work? Let me find the link to it and ill post it up in a few. |

I have very good pictures on the true dual stickies. They're there for you guys. |

on a scale of 1-10 how difficult is it to bolt up to the stock manifolds? any other problems or suggestions please let me know. |
1 is easy and 10 is difficult? I'd say 2 or 3. |
cool im going to order next friday and see whats up woth it. thanks for your opinon and info |
Here's what's included: http://ubfm.net/duals/Bassani_comp.jpg Basically it comes with all the hardware required to hook up to factory manifolds. It's a great system, sound and performance were awesome. On a dyno I picked up 20 lb/ft of tq over my stock ypipe configuration. |
Cool that looks like the kit i need. Did you order it from vinci or somewhere else? |
Ordered mine from Vinci. |
alright cool. do i really need the stainless one or will the aluminum work? i dont know how long im going to keep this system on because i have a fellin sometime down the road im going to want to dump it at the rear and make it loud as hell. |
Aluminized steel should last no less than 7 years. |
I have Bassani competition cat-back on my LS1. I am doing Pacesetters and tsp ORY this spring when I get it out of storage. www.fquick.com/foxrus14 check my exhaust clips on fquick.com if there is something else you want to see let me know. i also have some pics of my Bassani right out of the box. great quality and have not heard a deeper throaty exhaust out there. |
