Question about HVMC's. How much of a difference do HVMC's make over standard collectors? |
I didn't think that it was really too much of a difference. Just provides a bit more scavenging |
There isn't much of a gain to be had with stock internals, but SouthFl.02.SS posted a ~40rwhp gain with HVMC and a 90/90 on a H/C car. |

The 90/90 setup alone should net like 25 rwhp, and going from SLP to QTP (especially if it needs bigger headers) could be worth anywhere from 5-15 rwhp. I would guess that the HVMC might be worth 5 rwhp. Just a guess...I can't imagine that they could make a huge difference, or QTP would have dyno results all over this board showing how much better they are. |

Here's the graph (graph didn't reflect 460rwhp pull, nor did it reflect the old 425rwhp pull, but it did reflect the change in the curve well): http://home.att.net/~carlos.ramirez1...2/site1048.jpg |

Were you going from a LS1 or LS6 intake? Was the old throttle body stock or ported? Is your FAST intake that you have now ported? Thanks for clearing things up! |

Thanks for clearing things up! -35rwhp includes both the 90/90 and the HVMC. -Coming from an LS6 intake with a Jantzer ported TB -90mm FAST intake was unported Cheers. |
