LT's and flowmaster

Do any of you guys have long tube headers and a flowmaster catback set up?
Just wonderin' how it will sound. I already have the flowmaster 80 series catback, and was going to add the pacesetters and a catted y. Now I know you think the flowmaster don't flow the best, but they do sound the best. Just curious to see how it will sound with headers.

Thanks. Forgot to check that. I think it sounds great.

GreenBlood Feb 2, 2007 01:36 PM

they do sound good...but i think there are other setups out there that sound a lot better, as well as having the flow to match...

The Black Mamba Feb 2, 2007 02:14 PM

I've heard some and they didn't sound too good. I would go magnaflow.

staringback05 Feb 2, 2007 02:20 PM

they are one of the better sounding catbacks but at a cost of performance...

My buddy has it with LT's and ORY and I find it LOUD. He tried a Hooker for a while and I liked that a lot better. It should be quieter with cats, though.

As for it killing performance, I watched my friend do back to back runs at the track with it: Cut-out closed - 12.94. Cut-out open - 12.97. Mph didn't differ more than a couple of tenths either.

Your results may vary, but on his car, the Flowmaster didn't cost him anything.

Haha, I love the way you just throw that in there. Your car does prolly sound the best though, I really love it. You need to get some more vids of it, driving inside/outside etc.

1 chamber flows sound great.. i dont' care what anybody says...

LILWS6 Feb 2, 2007 06:10 PM

i just got the headers and lt's installed and i already had a 80 series on the car as well. I guess my gf said it sounds the same but louder lol. Either way i want a new exhaust wen tax returns come back just because i want a stainless exhaust that won't rust like my flowmaster has.
