Oil on TB
 

When I changed out my stock TB for a port/polished one I noticed a thick coating of oil on the back of the blade that faces the intake manifold, I can only imagine what the inside of the manifold looks like :cry: There is no smoke however, so I am assuming it is time for a catch can, don't want my new tb looking like that, so what sponsors sell one?

Dude, after a little time they all look like that. It's a thick carbon/oil build up. I'm not for sure that a catch can will fix the problem.

Try the WS6 store... Think they are about 75 bucks very nice catch can .

Catch can keeps mine dry. Used to be soked with oil all the time.

A catch can didnt work for me, I deleted the pcv system and added a breather. No oil in the intake now.

Yea JerseyLS1TA you dont want that shiny tb :cool: getting all full of oil.

Sorry i was running out of topics for the day! Alot of you colors and smells are due to the fact that the oil you are using has so much solvent in it that is burning off, and hince the pcv come into play to remove fumes. You can and should put a catch can on . Also look into buying a oil that doesnt contain 11.2 oz of solvent per 16 oz quart ( good luck on that ) There is one company out there that makes a oil that will blow your mind and keep you car clean and happy . They make really really really(lol i know i am getting carried away with the reallys) ocatane booster aswell and its really octane booster not the crap you buy at the store. Give me a shout if you would like to know the name of this oil. I am tired of posting the name and everyone flames me like i am trying to sell the shit for this guy . I just happen to use it and love it . But to each his own

First I will try the catch can and see how that works, then I will go from there. I dont want to get this new one all gunked up, it just looks to nice:lol: BTW Smoakin' I dropped your TB off at the post office this morning.
