Default Exhaust change-up *Now w/ PICTURES*

I am in the process of making a 4" mufflex work on my Trak-Pak'd Z28. I think that it is practically impossible. All I can say is I am glad I have a welder. Had to move an inline fuel pump and relay. It has been a rough road. I totally let one of my friends borrow my reciporicating blade, and I have been stuck with a dull hacksaw....it is so tiring.

I m about halfway done. Just had to clean all the gasoline off of me from when I was moving the pump. I will post up pics either early in the morning, or in a few hours. This is all about chop, cut, damnit!, rebuild.

pics soon!

So far all I have to do is from the axle back...It was such a good fit I was suprised. Now the Panhard Rod is giving me a clearance issue. I will get pics up sometime in the middle of the night, and change the thread title to appropriate.

Ok, so I thought that I finished around 5:30 this morning....Nope! I go for a ride and just some weird reason decided to pull into a parking lot and just check for leaks. Unfortunately When I was looking under the car, I start smelling gasoline. Thinking...."Why does the exhuast smell like un-burned fuel"....that was when I looked closer. Apparently there was a pinhole sized spot on my fuel line going to the pump, and it was spraying directly on the exhaust pipe! Yeah, so I gotta fix that this afternoon maybe when I wake up. Hell, Already called in sick 2 days in a row. Stupid car is really starting to get un-nerving.

Anyway....on with the pictures.

Props man! Single outlet and light weight! The fake duel exhaust these cars come with irritate the crap out of me.

I'd love a similar setup, but with a quiete muffler. Problem is, I can't find a quiet muffler that is light weight (titanium) and doesn't cost stupid money.

Does that exhaust hold the record for most pieces welded together?

A lot of hard work is in that...

Yeah, it was a lot of bending/breaking/welding/fabricating. Lol, my exhaust hangers are old stock pushrods for crying outloud! They work great though.

Yeah, jackstands are a total beating when it comes to having a welding hood on, trying to hold something, and still have enough room to semi-support most of your body weight with one elbow.

Splitflow is very loud compared to that dynomax that was on here. It is just a shade under loudmouth if you ask me.

It used to not really have a "cammed" lope to it. Now it is definitely defined. I mean, it sounded stock prior to this. That was how restrictive that dynomax seemed.

You can see how much of a pain it was with that stupid Trak Pak crossmember. That thing used to have a 3" section, and I was able to clear it for 4". I feel somewhat accomplished.
