Default will a z28 exhaust fit a V6 camaro

im planning on putting my magnaflows on soon and i have a buddy with a v6 camaro that i might sell it to..so i just wanted to know if my stock exhaust will fit onto a 98-02 3.8 camaro..

More than likely it will fit no problem, but I think it's a waste of time if he doesn't replace the z28 muffler.

well were doin it mostly because his exhaust has a problem..im pretty sure from the muffler. i think an exhaust leak probably..but im not wiz at this so i offered him mine because i need to get rid of it anyways so i just wanted to make sure it would fit..

Yea both cars have the same 10 bolt, and same chassis so it should fit no problem... IF anything it might need a little modification where it connects to the Y pipe but that shouldnt be that bad

It should fit with some modification. Are you removing it yourself or is a shop doing it? If a shop is doing it they are going to want to cut it in the rear where it goes over the axle. If you don't cut it you have to let the panhard bar and stiffening brace down and I unbolt the rear shock from the axle to drop the axle enough to get the exhaust out. They will want to charge you extra for the job or if you do it yourself you will have some extra work.

Yeah, If You can fit 4" you can fit stock on anything.

who in their right minds would put a 4 inch mufflex exhaust with a splitflow muffler on a car? you would have to be a total LS1tech.com moderator to do somthing like that......geez.

Note: You will also need to change to the V8 exhaust hangers in the rear. They are different than the V6 hangers. And the only thing you'll need to fabricate is the little "S pipe" section right after the cat that goes to the catback. They can be made for CHEAP or bought as well (SLP makes this kit and has everything you need to do the swap).
