Air temp sensor before Mass air flow sensor
As some of you may know, I have a 98 ls1 in a 1987 Trans Am. My CAI system is a little different than most. My question is, can I put the Air Temp Sensor BEFORE the Mass Air Flow Sensor? I have only seen pics of the ATS AFTER the MAFS.
Does it matter where the Air Temp Sensor is located as long as it is getting reading?

I think as long as the temperature is constant before and after the maf it won't matter where you locate it.
I doubt if you would get any false readings even right in front of the throttle body.
Putting it in the EGR port sounds kinda risky though since there is definitely a difference in temperature there. Might advance your timing and fuel a little too much.
