Jet Hot LT's

I'm going to be buying these in the next week or so. In addition to the headers what else will I need to buy? Y-pipe? O2 sensors and so forth? And does the color matter? Chrome vs. Black? I'm new to headers and yes I did search, it just confused me some. I just need a direct answer, not a beat around the bush type answer. Thanks in advance for helping!

u need to get them coated(chrome) black will rust very shortly. if u dont have xpipes then yes u will need a y pipe, and o2 extensions.

also do u need to have emissions? u dont need a y pipe that is coated.

another thing what kind of catback exhaust do u plan on running or are u going to keep it stock. if u havent bught one yet buy tsp xpipes and save the trouble of buying a ypipe and tsp x pipes slip over the LT headers ur buying. plus u save money

Jet-Hots are all coated with JET-HOT coating, and black is an optional color, I believe.

The Jet-Hot Y-pipe is just stupid, and is prone to leaking. I have them on my T/A, the headers are great, and the Y is junk.

headers are great, but i opted for the TSP X pipe and i love it :]

Will any type of Y-pipe fit in place of the Jet hot one?

Not true :) ...I have a Mufflex ORY and it fits just fine. Tucks up rather nice given the size. The Jethot ypipe is not as good as it could be....and the Mufflex is a beast to say the least.

All long tubes are basically the same..the difference is in the type of material used and the quality. Jethots are good quality headers that won't set you back too much.

You will need a Y-Pipe and O2 extensions. You may need O2 sims unless you have the rear O2's disabled. I used Stage 8 fasteners and new GM metal gaskets. Don't use the gaskets that come with the Jethots, and I recommend against using the bolts they include. You'll see why when you get them.

You can get a set of O2 extensions and sims from Speedinc for a great price. If you hit their EBAY link they will often have that stuff available as a "Make an Offer" auction.

Pics available if ya want 'em. Send me your email address.

Do I need just what comes with the headers or should I buy something else? Bolts and things of that nature I mean.

Ws6store.com has Jet-hots listed with emissions or w/o emissions, which do I get? I'd like to run no cats, but it wouldn't hurt to have them? Is that what is meant by with or with out emissions?

Sorry for all the newb questions, but I am new to headers!
