Will cats have an affect on how lopey cam sounds?
im going to be doing a cam and exhaust swap soon nad was wondering if cats on a Y setup will make a 228R on 112 cam sound not as lopey as compared to one with no cats?

I think the lope sound that you actually hear is effected.
For instance, we did an MS4 cam and heads on -=Modified=-'s car. He has LT's and an ORY w/ the stock SLP CME... It sounds really nice, IMO.

i was kind of thinking that...my car has jet hot lt's a custom y-pipe with 3" random tech cats and a hooker aerochamber catback and i can BARELY hear a lope and i hate it because i was used to my monster LE4 383 LT1 Z camming and then i come to this...and i know the tr230 has some lope ive heard other cars...

It has no effect whatsoever. If it does it is very, VERY minimal. I did a cc503 on my LT1 and I have videos posted up if you want to searchmy threads I made. I have vids with and without cats. Also at the same time I cut the cat out I lowered the idle 100 rpm's and it is still not noticeable. Like I said feel free to search my threads and see.
