I have true duals run out the back under the axle with sprial flow mufflers. Since my new heads/cam and more compression the car got alot louder/deeper than the old head/cam combo. I have to pretty much shout to talk on the phone or talk to the person in my passenger seat and its pretty annoyning, so I was thinking about adding 2 dynomax bullets before the tips. Has anyone done this before? How has it affected the sound and how much did it quiet it down? And pics would be nice.

There is somone who posted in the last couple days about using magnaflow round mufflers just before the tips. Post has pics too.

yeah, my friend did that (added 2 more mufflers) on his LT1. he had 4 sweet thunder bullets on his car. the car was still very loud. it seemed to quiet it down some and added a hint of sound refinement, but it was still very loud.

yes a friend of mine here in florida...russ...has 4 bullets on his true dual formy....it honestly sounds AWESOME...got a low rumble to it....hmm i cant remember his screenname right off hand....but check some of the gainesville post in the florida section....

Resonators would probably help your cause more than a second set of mufflers.

I went just the opposite. I had 2 Pro-Flo Twisters before the tips with a pair of Power Sticks before the axle. It really made it more quiet but not quite the sound I was looking for. I am back running Power Sticks dumped but plan on adding something else back there again. Just a little to loud for my taste with it dumped. What are you guys referring to as resonators?

That's what I did, 2 dynomax under the back seats,(very loud) then under the axle and 2 more dynomax and then the tips. Did'nt have the tips at the time of the install so I just put 2 pieces of 3'' pipe on, and it was still fairly loud but not overwhelming until wot. Then I put some rect. tips on and it quietened down a lot, that is until wot. I used 4 dynomax #24222.

The Borla XR-1s sound great IMO and so smooth.They might be to big though for true duals.The Moroso spiral flows seem to be quiet too
