Crank Pulley Help!!

I am doing a MS4 swap and cant get this fuggin' crank pulley off! The center bolt is out but according to LS1 how to you thread the bolt back in 4 turns to use the 3 jaw puller but I keep bending the center bolt of the puller!! Anyone have any ideas??? I thought about using a prybar between the timing chain cover and the pulley but I don't want to break the cover??? Anyone else have this prob??

I use a Snap-On puller that is designed for GM and Chrysler (other may also). It has a 3 jaw puler, but has a set of rods that you slip into the crank bolt hole and the puller pushes on the rod which is bottomed out on the threaded hole on the crank.. that way it dosn't put any pressure on the end or threads of the crank and also no friction on the bolt and crank end.

Othe tool manufactors make simular pullers..

I've used 1/4" drive extensions before... male end in towards crank, press with puller cone on female end. Works great!
