help.....Just Got Done Installing my SLP LT's
 

Any who has done this install have you had any problems with the driver side of the Y-pipe hitting the floor board.
If so what did you do to solve the problem.

I wedged thick rubber exhaust hangers in between the floorboard and the y pipe. i had to pry it down with a crow bar to get it in. i also used some hose clamps to help keep it in place. good luck. it drove me nuts!!!

I first undid the whole exhaust system so I could adjust it as needed. I then seen that I needed to re-drill the hole in the Y-pipe hanger bracket to force the pipe to hang lower. Then retightened the system back up.

Yeah, had the same problem. Just slap the hose over the pipe. easy fix!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

not sure if you tried this as well, the headers kind of tilt up and down on the header bolts themselves if you tilt them down which I know is a very small amount at the headers it will give you more clearance at the y pipe, this is what I did and I have no banging at all, It would be a PITA though to go back and mess with all the header bolts but it is something to try if you wanted to.

thanks guys ......... i called slp and they told me to loosen all the clamps and wedge a 2x4 between the pipe and the floor and they retighten the clamps and remove the 2x4...... it worked pretty well but hits every once in a while
