Mac's VS. SLP long tubes I have a set of Macs with the orp and cat pipe. the cats need replacement and I need to run cats. I have someone who wants to trade me the Mac set-up for his SLP setup with cats and a small amount of cash. is this worth the difference to go with the SLP's? I will be running a B1 cam and only want to do this job once. give me some opinons and hp differences please |
Re: Mac's VS. SLP long tubes Do a search, and you will find some interseting real world comparo's that have been done already, bottom line the Macs especially on higher horse applications will out pull the LT's. Den |
Re: Mac's VS. SLP long tubes Wanna sell the Macs back <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> P.S. I think SLP is the biggest rip off company ever and will not ever have anything of theres on my car <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <small>[ May 05, 2002, 08:27 PM: Message edited by: TTA89 ]</small> |
Re: Mac's VS. SLP long tubes hotcam+exhaust+lid 330/330 added slp kit 351/364 see slp header kit here.. http://www.ls1info.com/modules.php?o...ery&file=index after 5K miles.. the finish is great.. no banging. |
Re: Mac's VS. SLP long tubes SLP's will give you more power under the curve than the MACS. Peak will be about the same. This is what others have noticed anyway. |

I saw 20 RWHP at peak and very significant gains throughout the HP and TQ curves with my FLP's. There's no doubt that I'd keep the Macs over the SLP LT's. It's not worth the swap at all. |
Re: Mac's VS. SLP long tubes Ditto on what TrevorD said!!!!!! |
